History
Broken To Life is a nonprofit 501c3 established on May 14, 2021. It was birthed out of a passion for helping others and creating change in underserved communities. As a Journalism Mass Communications major at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University with a concentration in Public Relations, and a post graduate student in Business Communication with a concentration in Human Resource Management at Trident University. Rhonda Crowder-Muhammad knows first hand about the need for support and founded Broken To Life with this in mind.
As an author, Rhonda Crowder-Muhammad has written about and witnessed the impact that a person’s environment can have an effect on their outcomes. Broken to Life reinforces positive outcomes in communities, by feeding the less fortunate, empowerment workshops, empowering youth and athletes to be great, health and wellness opportunities, hygiene products and coat drives give-a-ways, artistic expressions, and social-emotional healing.
Mission
The mission is to promote empowerment & economic development in local communities primarily through holistic, supportive, and sustainable programming as well as relevant resources and support services to those most in need.
Vision
The vision is to help people enhance and increase their quality of life through our structured programs and empowerment services. Some of these services include; personal development and growth, reconciliation, healing, emotional support, mentorship, motivational and optimistic feedback to the participants within the community.

Our Founder
Rhonda Crowder-Muhammad, born in Monroe, NC, graduated from Monroe High School in 1999 and later from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism Mass Communications, Public Relations in 2004. She is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in Business Communication & Marketing at Trident University as well as completing her Education Consulting certification. She has earned additional certifications in event coordinating and client consulting. Rhonda Crowder-Muhammad implements and strategizes activities, events and plans while extending the community in various ways as a volunteer.
